Max is a senior consultant and founding member at Skola. Growing up in Chicago, it was Max’s dream to study for his degree in Europe after visiting Universities in the UK on a trip with his family. In high school, Max was inspired to connect more with his family's Spanish heritage and studied abroad in Madrid, Spain.

Just before the COVID-19 pandemic, Max decided to move to the Netherlands to study for his bachelor's at Leiden University in The Hague, also known as the International City of Peace and Justice. After his bachelor's degree, Max stayed in the Netherlands and completed his Master of Arts in International Relations also at Leiden University.

As a graduate student at Leiden University, Max worked in the admissions office as an International Communication Assistant. Here, he helped countless prospective students learn about studying in the Netherlands and applying to Leiden University.

Today, Max continues to live in the Netherlands, where, besides his work at Skola, he works as the communications manager at EATRIS, the European infrastructure for translational medicine.

Max, whose grandparents moved to the US from Spain, also recently reclaimed his Spanish citizenship and is excited to stay in the Netherlands long term.
