Born and raised in the suburbs just outside of Toronto, Canada, Savanna has always had a passion for travel and learning about the world around her. In 2020, she moved away from home to start her undergraduate studies at Cumberland University in Lebanon, Tennessee, where she studied Business Administration with a minor in Marketing while on a soccer scholarship.
After graduating, Savanna set her sights on a more globally focused and affordable education. This led her to Villach, Austria, where she’s currently pursuing her master’s in International Business Management at Carinthia University of Applied Sciences.
At Skola, Savanna brings a fresh perspective and hopes to share her own experiences of moving abroad with students navigating similar journeys. Outside of work and class, she spends her time exploring new countries and cultures, with plans to eventually settle in the UK long-term.
“Skola is the support system that I never had. None of my family or friends had ever studied abroad, so I was on my own when navigating the process. I had so many questions to ask, and there wasn’t always someone with an answer.
Joining the Skola team has been a meaningful way to help other students have a smooth transition to their lives abroad.”

“If I could give one piece of advice to my younger self, it would be to stop worrying so much about making friends abroad.
I remember stressing over whether I’d find my people, but looking back, I realize how quickly and naturally friendships formed. The best connections happened in the little moments—coffee break during class, local pub quiz nights, and even just catching the same bus as some of my classmates. Now, I have an incredible group of friends who feel like family, and I wish I hadn’t wasted so much time worrying.”
