Discovery & Admissions

The Discovery & Admissions stage focuses on aiding students who are actively exploring education options in Europe. Students will receive a personalized Go Euro Guide when choosing this offering.

The Discovery portion of the package offers academic pathway guidance (including career path and subject area exploration, navigating secondary education evaluation methods European universities may use to determine whether academic qualifications have been met, and other long-term international student considerations), building a university list that fits student needs while providing comprehensive information on European higher education systems, and preliminary financial considerations as an international student.

The Admissions portion will focus on university application guidance for European-style admissions (e.g., resumes vs CVs, AP requirements, etc.) Students work with an advisor to identify scholarship opportunities and build a strong application, and to explore their financial aid support options.

Visa & Relocation

The Visa & Relocation stage is geared toward students who have already applied and been accepted into a study program and are ready to begin the process of relocating abroad.

This stage assists with all the complex bureaucracy and logistical challenges of moving abroad as an international student. This includes working with students on financial planning for the first year of studies, defining a budget for the process of moving and resettling, as well as for living as a student abroad. Finances and budget are highly specific to the student, so this phase may include navigating US Federal Aid (FAFSA) and 529 Plans (and how these work for Americans abroad), finding a student job as an English-speaker, understanding what financial aid is available to them at their university and in their host country, and charting the best course to use their budget optimally as we proceed.

In this stage, students will receive guidance on understanding visa requirements, collecting documents, and submitting their visa application. If housing isn’t required before submitting a visa, the Relocation Phase kicks off with finding and selecting housing. As the date of departure approaches, your advisor is available to assist with travel arrangements and packing support (it’s hard packing your whole life into a few suitcases!). Upon arrival, your advisor will be available to help with residency registration.
