Liza’s inspiration to become an international student began with a 2015 NPR story about Americans attending college in Germany to avoid student debt.

By the following year, Liza was graduating from high school and packing her bags for Prague, Czech Republic. Liza spent four years there, completing her bachelor’s degree from Anglo-American University. During her bachelor's, she had the opportunity to spend six months as an exchange student in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Upon graduating from AAU, Liza packed up once again to move to Brussels, Belgium, to pursue her graduate degree at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

From the first months after arriving in Prague, Liza has been consulting with aspiring international students. What started as casually answering the questions of curious peers back home grew into creating informative videos viewed by millions.

Skola is the culmination of this mission. Skola allows Liza and her team to work with students on a more personal level, taking into consideration each student’s academic interests, career ambitions, and individual character.

Since 2017, Liza has helped over 150 students pursue their degrees across Europe.

Liza still calls Brussels home and will soon apply for Belgian citizenship through naturalization.
